Products disappear when I publish new theme

I am updating my theme from a 2020 version of the Impulse theme to the new 5.3.0 version. I have worked behind the scenes to customize the theme to my liking. I have tried to launch the new theme several times, but when I do every product in my store disappears. All products are visible on the old theme, but not the new updated one. Why is this happening?

if you will update the Theme from the theme store then you have to customize your theme
Because updation makes a new theme file in your Dashboard with the Ultimate features.
So that you have to customize again for the new theme according to your requirement.

Need to check from the admin dashboard, I can’t guess what’s causing the issue.

Usually, the products in your store will not be deleted or disappear if you change the theme, everything will be transferred to the new theme. In general, it’s always best to save a copy before making any changes to your website. Also, you can preview the new theme and customize it before you publish. Edit your store as much as you want, and publish only when you’re done.

I customized the entire theme before publishing it. Once published the products are not visible, they are not visible in preview mode either. I had to revert back to the old version of the theme so customers could shop my products again. I’m not having a problem customizing or publishing the theme, my products literally disappear once the new theme is published. I am going to contact the creator of impulse and see if I’m missing something.
