I am a Shopify store owner and I wanted to rename my products pictures, the worst thing you can even imaging. every time I tried after one day all of my images came back to what they were. then I contact them and they said it is not possible in shopify to rename your products pictures you need to reupload them with new name. I tried that as well and you can imagine how frustrating it is, but again after one day they rename to what they were. We paid for this product and it is as well expensive, but what we receive is this product that you even could not rename your product images. I guess they will recommend me delete my product and re create them again.
Hi @Belinhome It’s pretty strange that for some time it is working fine and then it moves back to what it was earlier, I have never encountered this issue, but instead of deleting the product, you can try to delete the old image, and upload the new image and see if it happening again or not?
This is the best option I know it is frustrating but if this solves your issue then you can ask the shopify support that the issue will be on their end not yours.

I did delete the pics and reupload them again with new name, but they where again came back to the previous names. What I did is to delete all the files with previous naming from content and then reupload them. It is really annoying but hope Shopify think about changing this soon.
