Hi everyone,
I’m managing a Shopify website and noticed that some product updates are not reflecting properly on the live store. Changes like price edits and image updates appear in the admin panel but don’t always show on the frontend. I’ve tried clearing the browser cache and checking theme settings, but the issue still happens occasionally.
Has anyone faced a similar problem on their Shopify website? Any tips or best practices would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Hello @kiara1aq ,
Yes many Shopify merchants experience exactly the problem you’re describing
Common Causes:
- Sync/Propagation Delays
Wait 5–15 minutes before checking.
Hard refresh the live site (e.g., Ctrl+F5 or Cmd+Shift+R).
Test in incognito mode or a different device.
-
Theme Overrides or Code Issues
-
Shopify Markets / Regional Pricing Overrides
-
Third-Party Apps Interfering
-
Variant or Handle Mismatches
-
Theme Caching / Shopify Server Cache
Across Shopify forums, several merchants have reported this exact situation
Double check in an incognito window and/or different browser and/or different device and/or hard refresh. Admin updates are generally quick. You should be able to change the price, refresh the screen in a few seconds and have it show. Theme setting changes have a few more variables like live theme vs unpublished preview.
Yes, this happens sometimes. It’s usually caused by caching or a delay in Shopify’s CDN. Try and check in an incognito window, and make sure no app or theme cache is overriding the changes. Also, confirm the product is published to the correct sales channel and that no duplicate product or variant is being displayed.
