For the Fall Season - we placed the majority of our sales orders with Vendors in August 2022. At that time I created products, skus, and barcodes depsite the fact that the product was not shipping sometimes as late as October thru December. All of these products were created and marked as “active” instead of Draft.
While the majority of our products were ordered and created in shopify in August we still have a handful of products that we bring in sporadically and create those products as they come in.
I am now noticing that when I receive and Sync products that were created in August they are on the last page of my new arrivals on my online store front (instead of the first page when sorting my most recent" . When i called shopify they told me that is because New Arrivals is based on creation date of when you add the product so in my case August 2022 . I would like my products to show up at the top of New Arrivals " when they are first “synched and received” from Stocky . I know I can use the App “Newr” but wanted to know If i create a product before hand and save it as “draft” will this fix my problem if I Change it from draft to active upon syncing for the first time versus marking it as active from the get-go. The person from Newr told me that their app only scans for Active Products and would ignore Draft Products so I was wondering if Shopify would do the same thing saving me from having to use an outside app in order to categorize a new arrival.
