Topic summary
A user is experiencing an issue where products are showing as “sold out” on their store after switching away from a supplier who previously handled on-demand shipping.
Suggested Solution:
- Manually update inventory settings in product configuration
- Set inventory tracking to “Don’t track quantity” as a temporary workaround during the transition period
Root Cause:
When the supplier connection was severed, the inventory sync broke, causing Shopify to automatically mark products as sold out.
The discussion remains open with one proposed solution shared, though no confirmation yet on whether it resolved the issue.
Hey, I had a similar issue when I stopped using a supplier too. Since the inventory was synced from their end, once the connection broke, Shopify marked the products as sold out automatically.
What helped me was going into the product settings and manually updating the inventory, even just setting it to “Don’t track quantity” worked in the meantime until I switched things out. My tech VA actually took care of the product and order syncing issue, I’m sure the late delivery issue cause you to switch. Please choose the best dropshipping platform next time.
But I hope this helps a bit while you transition!
