Question about shopify costs

Hi,

Its not clear for me what the cost for shopify payments are, when im using an external payment provider the cost are 1%, when my turnover is 60.000 a month, im paying 600 monthly to shopify + monthly cost 59… which is near 8000 a year. what about the shopify payments itself? what are those cost ?

And why would someone not let a developer create a custom shop over paying 8000 a year ?

somehow there are alot of users, but i must see something wrong, im thinking about putting my current shop with low costs 40 monthly to shopify for more options, but it is not worth the difference of 7500 euro a year for me

If you’re making 60k per month in sales, why change? Keep doing what you’re doing. Seems to be working just fine.

Because the shop i use is limited in options, i could theres no way to export my customer data, or take out product info, i have to do all over again. its called mijnwebwinkel, its nice for when your small, but when you grow and have alot of customers its hard to leave.. but that still does not leave me with an answer that i do not understand if people really pay that much for fees..
