Question regarding Cart transformer of Shopify Functions support for JavaScript in Shopify CLI

I ran “shopify app generate extension” with Shopify CLI and selected “(4) Function - Cart transformer > JavaScript”.

However, I received an error message that says “Extension ‘cart_transform’ is not available for vanilla-js”.

Does Cart transformer not support JavaScript?

And are there any plans to support it in the future?

What could be the reason for the error message, and is there any alternative way to achieve the same functionality in JavaScript?

Additionally, it would be helpful to know if there are any plans to add support for JavaScript in Cart transformer in the future.

I am having the same issue with typescript. This only seems to be available in Rust at the moment

This one will be available in JavaScript and TypeScript soon, work is in progress. You can keep an eye on the Function Examples repo:
