We are currently running our Shopify store and encountering significant challenges with two critical workflows: our quoting system and our branding options functionality. Since our business operates in the corporate gifting, promotional items, and PPE/workwear space, our customers often require bulk orders with branding/customisation. This makes accurate quoting and seamless branding options essential to our sales process.
Here are the main issues we are experiencing:
1. Quoting System

Our customers frequently request bulk quotes rather than purchasing directly online.

We require a streamlined solution where customers can select products, input quantities, choose whether branding is required, and then receive a quote rather than a checkout.

Ideally, this should integrate into our cart process with an “Add to Quote” or “Request a Quote” feature instead of the standard checkout flow.

Submissions must be captured in the Shopify backend for tracking, and we also need to be able to email these quotes to clients with VAT-inclusive pricing.
2. Branding Options

Our products often require customisation (e.g., embroidery, screen printing, full-colour digital print).

Customers must be able to choose between “Unbranded” and “Branded” options on the product page.

When Branded is selected:

The system should show an artwork upload option.

A setup fee should automatically be applied (but not charged twice when selecting multiple variants of the same product).

Pricing should dynamically update on the product page, in the cart, and at checkout to reflect branding costs.

We also need the ability to assign different branding methods to specific collections or products, since not all items share the same branding options.

A quantity selector tied to the branded pricing is also necessary to ensure accurate bulk costing.
What We Need from Shopify
We would greatly appreciate guidance or solutions on:

The best way to implement a quoting system that integrates with Shopify’s native flow (or recommended third-party apps that are fully compatible).

A robust solution for branding options that dynamically adjusts pricing, adds setup fees, and handles artwork uploads smoothly.
