I am trying to add some png images as a Collection Image
For some reason, a few images which I upload are converted to jpg format.
Did somebody encounter this issue before?
This is an image that is converted on upload.
Please help.

This is happening to me too. About an hour after uploading a png product image, the file changes into a jpg with a white background (on the Shopify dashboard, not just on the website).
Did you find a solution?
Also experiencing this… Guess I will just use a meta field for now but I’d rather use the inbuilt image
For me I think the workaround was to upload the images in Settings > Files, then use that image url to add the images to my products.
Yeah I just ended up using a metafield for the image instead… just sucks it does that I guess haha
This is happening to us as well, is this suppose to happen or a bug?
