Rate my store and tell me what i need to do

Topic summary

A store owner seeks feedback on their anime apparel shop (animevibeapparel.com) after previously requesting reviews a week ago. They want to know what improvements are needed to generate sales and whether their pricing is appropriate.

Key Issues Identified:

  • Multiple overlapping pop-ups create a poor user experience and cause immediate exits. Two discount offers (5% and 15%) appear simultaneously; keeping only the higher discount is recommended.

  • Navigation confusion exists where product categories merge with the main menu, making it difficult for customers to browse efficiently.

  • Cart functionality could be improved with a slide-out drawer that displays upsells, cross-sells, bundles, and progress bars (e.g., toward free shipping thresholds).

  • Product bundling opportunities are being missed—themed sets or matching items could increase average order value.

  • SEO deficiencies include missing or poorly optimized meta titles, descriptions, alt text for product images, and an empty blog URL (/blogs/news) that should be excluded from the sitemap until content is added.

Status: The discussion remains open with actionable recommendations provided but no indication the owner has implemented changes yet.

I checked it and gave the answer to the form on your store

Multiple pop-ups are an instant exit for most people.

Hey @AnimeVibeApparel

First, your menu isn’t very clear, product categories are merging with the menu, which can make it confusing for customers to navigate. Cleaning that up so categories are easy to see will help people find what they want faster.

Another thing is your cart experience. Most apparel stores benefit from having a slide cart drawer. It allows you to show product bundles, upsells, and cross-sells directly in the cart, which encourages customers to add more items before they check out. You can also include a progress bar showing how close they are to free shipping or discounts, which motivates them to spend a bit more.

Some of your products could also be offered as bundles, for example, matching tees or themed sets, which is another way to increase average order value. On the SEO side, even basic things like meta titles, descriptions, and headings need attention. Optimizing these will help your store get found by more potential customers.

Instead of adding separate apps for each of these cart and upselling features, you could use an all-in-one tool like iCart. It helps you manage upsells, cross-sells, bundles, and progress bars in one place, keeping things simple and smooth for your customers.

Hi @AnimeVibeApparel

I had a quick look and here are what i noticed:

  1. On the homepage you have two overlapping popups
  2. Same when I click ‘X‘, on the bottom left, these get 5% and 15% off offers are overlapping. It’s beter to keep one. And for sure, a visitor will pick the 15% off, so no need 5%.
  3. Also. it’d better if you add descriptive alt texts to product images.
  4. Exclude this url from sitemap for now if possible since it’s empty: /blogs/news when you create blogs then you can make it live. Not a big deal but if you want to invest in SEO then start from technical sides.
