Read more on collection page descriptions- dawn theme

I have recently starting using the new dawn theme.

I have very long collection descriptions (due to SEO) I would like the collection page to show the first line and then a ‘Read More’ button so that the description can expand and then a ‘Read Less’ to shorten it again.

Is this something that the dawn theme offers?

As far as I know, the Dawn theme doesn’t come with this functionality. You need to rely on custom coding. The following codepen might help you

Thank you so much for your reply! I have added some code myself into this theme previously but im not very confident with doing it. In the link you have attached does this code just go into the bottom of my collection.liquid and my theme liquid?
