Really need some advice for my site

Topic summary

General fashion dropshipping store sees strong initial Facebook Ads performance for a product popular in a competitor’s EU market, followed by a sharp decline over the next two days.

  • Setup: CBO (Campaign Budget Optimization) with 2 ad sets targeting “Engaged Shoppers” and “Shopping Online (retail)”, each with 2 creatives.
  • Day 1 results: €36 spend, 3 sales, 5 add-to-cart, CPC €0.78, CTR 1.4%, ROAS 6.2.
  • Subsequent performance: Day 2 €36 spend, 47 clicks, 1 add-to-cart, 0 sales; Day 3 €26 spend, 36 clicks, 2 add-to-cart, 0 sales. CPC held around €0.7.
  • Suspected causes: Potential product page/CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) issues or heightened Black Friday competition. First Black Friday experience; budget is modest and nearly spent.
  • Pattern: Similar “good start then drop” observed with 3–4 prior products.
  • Materials: A Loom video link is provided for site review and may be central to diagnosing product page issues.
  • Status: Seeking advice on whether to pause until after Black Friday and what might be wrong; no decisions or resolution yet.

Hi guys, I really need help and advice for my website. I run a general fashion store, and I recently found a product that’s performing very well in a competitor’s market (not the product in my video  ). I decided to sell it in my main market and used Facebook Ads as my primary advertising tool.

Here’s what I did:

  • I created a CBO campaign with 2 ad sets targeting: Engaged Shoppers and Shopping Online (retail)

  • Each ad set had 2 creatives.

On the first day, the results were really good:

  • Spend: €36

  • Sales: 3

  • Add to Cart: 5

  • CPC: €0.78

  • CTR: 1.4%

  • ROAS: 6.2

But on the following days, things went downhill

  • Day 2: €36 spend, 47 clicks, only 1 add to cart, and 0 sales.
  • Day 3: €26 spend, 36 clicks, 2 add to cart, and 0 sales.

I didn’t change anything in terms of budget or content during this time. My ad performance metrics (like CPC, which stayed around €0.7) are still decent, so I’m wondering if the issue lies in my product page?

I’ve watched a lot of CRO tutorials and have edited my page multiple times, but the drastic drop in performance is frustrating. Or maybe it’s due to the competition during this Black Friday season? This is my first Black Friday, and I started with a modest budget, which I’ve nearly spent at this point. Should I wait until at least after the Black Friday week/month to continue with my work?

Does anyone have any ideas about what might be going wrong? I genuinely need and would deeply appreciate your help. I’d be super grateful for your help!

Well, as I mentioned, this product is being scaled very effectively by my competitor in another market, and I’m just bringing it to my own market (both are major countries in the EU). I’ve encountered this situation with about 3-4 products already, this isn’t the first time. Ads only work well in the beginning. :(((
