Is there a way to prevent new listings from automatically going “Active”?
Before the latest update, when you made a new listing, it was automatically a “Draft” and you could make draft listings and then make active when you were ready.
Making it automatically active and having to choose draft every time is not a welcome update!!!
It takes more time.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I’m happy to provide some assistance with the addition of products and their availability. Currently the addition of new products to the shop will automatically default to an active status, but can certainly be changed into draft if not ready to publish to customers. I recommend checking out our Adding and Updating Products documentation for more information on this.
It’s completely understandable how this may not be ideal, but am more than happy to make a note with our Developers. We are always working to improve the platform and appreciate the feedback. While we’re unable to guarantee this change, the more feedback received on the topic will lead to it’s likelihood for adjustment. As a workaround, you can look to manually place products into draft until you’re ready to publish to your online shop.
