I have recently canceled my recharge subscription app and began using another one. But even after uninstalling the app it still has plugins in my customer account page that I can’t get rid of. This leads to a ton of customer confusion. Can anyone help.
Topic summary
Issue: After canceling and uninstalling a subscription app (Recharge), remnants of its plugins/widgets still appear on the customer account page, causing customer confusion.
Key points:
- Apps can leave embedded widgets or code in the theme even after uninstallation.
- Recommended action: contact the app’s developer to remove lingering widgets/code from the theme files.
Additional input:
- A separate comment promotes an alternative, Stripe-powered solution for payments and subscriptions, linking to a YouTube playlist. This does not address removal of existing leftover code.
Context/terms:
- “Widgets/plugins” here likely refer to theme code snippets injected by the app that persist post-uninstall.
Status/outcome:
- No confirmed resolution in the thread. Primary actionable step is to reach out to the original app developer (Recharge) for theme cleanup; exploring alternative apps is optional and unrelated to the immediate issue.
Hi @OmegaCoffee !
There are apps that leave widgets even though they were already uninstalled. For this, kindly reach out to the app developer where that plugins or widget are coming from. They will be able to remove it from your themes.
