Recommendations on my new Shopify Store

Hello,

I just built a new brand and a new Shopify website for my products. I need recommendations from experts to review my store and guide me on how I can improve it in terms of design and sales.

Website: www.thecocofond.com

Thanks

I’d agree – very nicely done.

At least design and photography-wise.

Couple of nit-picks:

  1. Product grids may use some better alignment for buy buttons.
Try this code in “Theme settings”-> “Custom CSS”:
.buy-buttons-block {
  margin-top: auto;
}

Before/After:

  1. Shopify has added some fixes since 3.2.1 for header and menu behavior – your version sometimes exhibits some menu/header bugs after browser resize – I’d recommend updating theme version.

  2. On product pages Sticky Add to Cart uses Color sheme 1, which may look a bit not in style(?) This color scheme can be changed under “Theme settings”-> “Popovers and modal”.
(similar may apply to Cart drawer – controlled under “Theme settings”-> “Drawers”)

Hi @anu-thecocofond

Welcome to the community.

You have a solid base, OK colors, good images, and a good amount of content. Checkout is the same colors. Plus 5% doantion to pet shelters.

But you have some things to improve. First thing, check your image banners. They are huge, but do not provide links. YO uhave huge Shop now, but no way to click it. And it is on an image, the whole should be clickable, but also thin to change title, button and text to be re a real elements not on images. So real title, button, and text, but still all clickable. Also note that the image may fit ok on some screens, but check different widths of the page and you will see a huge white space.

Now, a general thing, when you say" Clinically tested" and do not back it up with any data, to me, that is a red flag. All those claims have to be really backed up.

I found the lack of people using your product strange. You saw a lot of websites, you know what a process is, and what looks good. For example, before and after images/videos. You have “Your daily skin Routine” a perfect place to show not just images but videos too. But again missing. You do have some videos on Instagram of people opening packages, but that is it, no use. That looks more suspicious.

To me header meu is a bit long and smaller font but OK.

And then the footer with the missing opportunity for more links, company information, and even content.

And about company information, you do have an email, at least two emails for contact, that is good, but nothing else. To me, that is not enough to give my trust and my personal and credit card information. No address, no phone, no business registration. And connected with that no real about us page. Who are you an why are you doing this? And please don’t add a page with “Our mission is to bring words peace” and those kinds of words  . Add something real.

The product page could use some adjustments, content is mostly there, but some blocks are missing that could improve sales. On a single product page, you could add a bundle.
For example, a big empty space in the middle, on larger screens and the text looks a bit strange

Still, a solid store with some work to do, so it can be improved.

Good luck.

Good day, @anu-thecocofond the hero section design is nice and engaging. One small improvement would be to add a call-to-action, as currently there’s no clear next step for users. You can either include a visible button or make the whole section clickable.

Also, the image does not have alt text, which is important for accessibility and SEO.

I would suggest adding a hover effect (such as an outline) to the button, as it is currently missing and can help improve user interaction and feedback.

Additionally, the footer section is currently quite empty and lacks useful links. You can improve it by adding the logo, address, payment gateways, and organizing the content with a proper structure. I would also recommend including pages like About Us, FAQ, and Legal, along with more social media links if available.

I’ve also attached screenshots for your reference, so you can easily follow along.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask.

If this solution helps you, please don’t forget to like and accept it.

Best Regards,

(S.P)

Hi @anu-thecocofond ,
Hey, your brand site looks clean and you’ve got a nice, consistent theme going

A few honest suggestions after a quick review:

1. First impression / hero section

  • The design is nice, but the main headline isn’t very strong from a sales perspective. Try making it more benefit-driven (e.g., what problem you solve).
  • CTA (“Shop Now”) is good, but you could test something more specific like “Shop Skincare” or “Explore Products”.

2. Product section

  • Good visuals but consider adding:
    • Star ratings / reviews (huge for trust)
    • Short benefit bullets under each product (not just names)
  • “Add to cart” directly on homepage is nice, but some users may still want a quick view option.

3. Trust & credibility

  • You’ve added icons like “Paraben Free”, “Cruelty Free” good move.
  • But I’d strongly recommend:
    • Customer reviews/testimonials section
    • Before/after or real user images
    • Maybe a small “About the brand” story section

4. Performance issues (important)

  • From your audit screenshot:
    • Missing ALT text → fix for SEO + accessibility
    • Lazy loading above-the-fold images → remove for hero images
    • Some images not properly sized → compress and serve correct dimensions
These directly impact speed + rankings.

Your Store https://thecocofond.com/ is already looking great, its clearly evident that you have worked harder on the store development, but here are my few suggestions, if you can work it will be better.

  1. Your collection pages are not showing enough products, I can see only one product and the rest are appearing. You may also like to put all your related products under the related collections for better visibility, or let me know if it’s only one product that what you are aiming for.

  2. Footer is completely not optimized you should add about us, contact us, and legal pages like return and refund policy, etc

  3. You have good social signals. I can see you have 643 followers on Instagram, why don’t you utilize it to showcase the latest reels and posts from Instagram to your website, there are many apps which can help you. Also you should post the same images on other platforms like Pinterest and facebook for example, i think you dont have thats why you havent listed in the footer.

  4. Your website development has only minor issues, you should focus your attention on marketing as well so that your customers can find you, that answers your sales related question, you can optimize your Shopify store for SEO, also consider running Google ads for quick sales, you can do so yourself by seeing videos on youtube or with chatgpt help, at least in the starting phase of your business.

  5. Create Google merchant center account as well link it with your Google business profile, create both if you don’t have, its easy you can do yourself, it will help you in gaining visibility in Organic Google shopping results for free, you just need to download Google and Youtube App officially made by Google in your shopify store and follow its instructions, its easy.

Hope it helps
Thanks

Hi @anu-thecocofond

The store has a clean, modern design, so that’s a great lead-off. To boost conversions, work on clearer value messaging above the fold, benefit-driven product descriptions, and lifestyle shots showing your products in the wild. Include trust signals such as reviews, shipping information, and returns. Streamline the navigation and make your calls-to-action clearer so you can direct people where you want them to go — to checkout.
