I am developing a theme for Shopify and I am new to this, I have create all others templates, sections and snippets, everything works well. When I get to the part to create custumized customers templates though I cannot test them, as when I try to access any customer related template I’m facing an issue with the customer account pages redirecting.
When accessing the URLs /account, /account/login, etc., I’m being redirected to shopify.com/authentication
I’ve already checked the development store settings, removed store password protection and whtn accessing direct to /account/login I got a message “Not Acceptable”, when accessing on online store version it redirects to URL mentioned before.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? What am I missing?
In order to access the customer page and perform standard login procedures, follow these steps: navigate to your Shopify settings, locate the “Customer accounts” module, and select “Classic”.
I totally get the frustration you’re dealing with! I ran into a similar issue when I was setting up customer templates for my Shopify store. What helped me was double-checking the settings for customer accounts and making sure everything was set to allow accounts. I also found that clearing my browser cache or using incognito mode worked wonders for weird redirects. If you haven’t tried that yet, give it a shot! It can be super annoying, but hopefully, you’ll get it sorted out soon.
