Refund name on customer bank statement

We have been testing and when a customer orders a product the name of company is seen on the customer bank, but when we raise a refund it comes up with stripe?

Can you advise how we change to show our company name on the customer refund bank statement?

Based on your question, it is safe to assume that you have set up Stripe as your payment processor. During set up of a payment gateway, you are asked to verify your business details and clarify the name of the charge you would like to have appear on your customer’s bank statements.

Typically, the refund charge should look the same, but sometimes those settings can be found elsewhere depending on the gateway you are using. Some quick research led me to this Stripe documentation regarding how business names appear on customer bank statements. It looks like then that they may have additional settings within the Stripe account you set up, in addition to the details you entered on Shopify’s end.
