Hello ,
Thanks , any help is much appreciated .
My senario just starting happening after years of wholesaling and retailing .
I need to know how to refund a wholesale customer ( B2B Wholesale Hub ) that has ordered and paid but
has been charged and paid retail prices .
I wish to refund an amount because they paid too much , not for returning any items for refund.
I’m not sure if this is possible ?
Thanks very much
Colin
Hello @greenhemp
This is definitely possible. What you can do is process a partial refund through your Shopify admin. Here’s how:
-
Open the order in Shopify and click the Refund button.
-
Enter the refund amount that represents the overcharge. Make sure to add a note in the refund reason field explaining that this is a pricing adjustment for wholesale pricing.
-
Confirm the refund, and the customer will get the difference back on their original payment method.
If you’re using a wholesale app like B2B Wholesale Hub, check its documentation too—sometimes they have specific guidelines for handling partial refunds to ensure the wholesale pricing remains accurate for future orders.
After processing the refund, it’s a good idea to send a brief note to the customer explaining the adjustment. Clear communication helps build trust and keeps the relationship positive.
Thanks very much for your help.

For some reason I thought that was just for refunding returned items , it’s
weird how I can make up my own problems in my head
that dont exist in shopify .
MUCH appreciated !!!
best regards
Colin
