Hi there, I’ve just built a new E-commerce store using Shopify and as I proceeded to choose a third-party payment provider in order to accept payments on my store, I noticed that I wasn’t able to enter my date of birth as I’m only 16 years old. I wanted to know if this is just the case within that particular payment provider or is it a universal thing across all payment providers?
If not, it will be awesome if you could recommend me an adequate payment provider that is also available in Israel.

Thank you for getting in touch, and it’s great to hear that you’re interested in entrepreneurship at a young age. What do you plan to sell on your store?
While I will state that each payment gateway will have their own policies and terms of service, you will likely find it difficult to use a payment provider that will allow you to use their services when you are under the age of 18. Please also note that Shopify’s own Terms of Service state that to use our platform you must either be over the age of 18 or at least the age of the majority where you reside:
My recommendation would be to speak with a family member or friend over the age of 18 who can work with you on your store, and help you sign up for an account with a payment provider.
