Remove credit card detail in a development store

How to remove credit card detail added in a development store? I want my card information completely removed, not just archiving the store.

Hi @citronbaba

You can delete a payment method at any time in your Shopify admin. To delete a payment method, you need to have another payment method on file, such as a credit card or PayPal account. If you have only one payment method on file, then you can’t delete it.

Steps:

  • From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Billing.

  • In the Payment methods section, click … next to the payment method that you want to delete, and then click Delete.

  • Click Delete.

You are violating GDPR by keeping my credit card information.

I should be able to delete it no condition attached, not to mention it’s a development store that won’t have real money anyway.
