Remove extra phone number field when checking out with Local Delivery

Hi,

I have local delivery setup, and use a printer app that pulls through certain information from shopify when printing receipts.

For delivery instructions it uses:

For the phone number it uses:

So if it uses them, then the options that appear when choosing local delivery are meaningless:

What’s annoying is it doesn’t even autofill the same fields. Is there any way to remove these extra fields?

I feel like a solution could be to remove local delivery and use standard shipping in the same way local delivery works. That has it’s own problem like limiting the radius of delivery zone.

Hello, no there is no solution, I just renamed the 2nd number to ‘confirm phone number’ this way the customer thinks they’re just confirming it.

The delivery instructions were also a problem because the I apps i have, use the delivery instructions in the CART page instead of the CHECKOUT page. Thankfully the delivery instruciton on the checkout page are opened by clicking a highlighted text, so i just hid that highlight link by use a ‘blank’ character, it’s basically like a empty space but the computer thinks something is there. This way the customer can’t see it.

So basically i just edited what they said
