Remove Extra Theme Settings in Header and Footer Sections

As we know in all themes when you go to customise your theme you will see “Theme Settings” on the left pane right at the bottom. When you select that you see the settings available for you to edit. All sweet and works well.

However, the Header and Footer sections have their own “Theme Settings” options on the right pane at the bottom as you scroll down for each of those sections. For example in the Header section.

Then when you open that header - theme settings, it will display

The contents of those “Theme Settings” appear to be duplicate settings found in the global “Theme Settings”. It can be confusing as to where to edit so I’d like to remove the “Theme Settings” dropdown options in both the Header and Footer and only keep them in the global “Theme Settings”. But I can’t find where I can remove them.

I understood your concern. I came to know that the header section has no individual schema social settings to it.

Header section uses setting.schema.json for social settings.

It’s Shopify theme default behavior.
