Remove product page from online store but keep the URL active

I am looking to keep a URL active for a product but have it removed from the online store itself. Meaning if you goto our website and search for the product you wont find it but if you have the direct URL it will work.

Thoughts?

This can only be done by blocking results at the search page, but it will throw an error count results.
