looking for some help to remove the text over the collection images. Would like it to just be the image. I am using the Brooklyn theme

yes, please try this code
- Go to Online Store->Theme->Edit code
- Asset->/theme.scss.liquid->paste below code at the bottom of the file.
.collection-grid__item-title--wrapper {display: none;}

I have a similar issue, I am working in the dawn theme. Is there any way to do the opposite, and add text over my collection images?
