These extra characters (?srsltid=AfmBOorpwQjtJfG1VnvXdjcir26r7lre6GAcP8MEtAM2pkJllGDlSZdn) seem unnecessary and might cause canonical URL issues. Please check below screenshot.
Hi @iffikhan30 Currently we are using this app for our store, is there any other solution for resolving the issue or do we need to check with the smile.io support team for such an issue?
We have checked with the smile.io support team they have replied this https://prnt.sc/-lPe6bkvn5PF, there is nothing we can update from our end. Do you have any other suggestions?
By the way, I checked GSC & found extra characters in the URL. Is it also because of smile.io app?
I think these characters*(“?pr_prod_strat=e5_desc&pr_rec_id=c2253ca4e&pr_rec_pid=6874933723249&pr_ref_pid=6878376951921&pr_seq=uniform”)* seem unnecessary and might cause canonical URL issues too.
In the past, I used the URL Inspect tool to submit URLs whenever we updated content. However, the team has not manually added any URLs with query parameters like “?pr_prod_strat=e5_desc&pr_rec_id=c2253ca4e&pr_rec_pid=6874933723249&pr_ref_pid=6878376951921&pr_seq=uniform”.
Lastly, while I see that old URLs have been successfully redirected to the new ones, these specific query URLs still seem to persist. Could you please verify or advise on how to resolve this?
He said that , he have tracking code add the URL for referral link. Actually referral work same like that, so he is right own his way, If you don’t add the URL with tracking how you get the referral record.
So the conclusion is that if you need referral you bear this.
yes it’s auto generated url to get the customer queries where he was come, where is going, which page he is landing. something like that.
it’s fine simple url redirect with parameters, same as above i told the process.
Actually is not effect for search console why you worry about that?
