I am currently managing my inventory in Shopify. I would like to take some of that inventory and send it to Amazon. What is the best way to do this to properly account and manage my inventory in Shopify?
Nice guidance from @Abbassi , that sounds like a good system to me.
2 things I’d like to add:
- When you add an Amazon managed fulfillment service, you’ll have multiple locations in that Shopify product for inventory, so you’ll be able to see the total inventory, and you can stock inventory at both Amazon and your local location, if you’d like, and set a priority in Shopify Location settings to decide which one Shopify shows.
This is helpful to have inventory at both locations if you keep backup stock in your managed inventory, so if Amazon inventory runs out the customer will still be able to buy.
- Shopify’s Amazon plugin was deprecated and stopped being supported March 31, 2023. It may still work but it’s unsupported and we’ve seen reports from people that it is now unreliable, so I can’t recommend that.
If you’re looking for an Amazon automated solution, there is the free basic app from Amazon that will work for US orders, or for a complete solution that works with any marketplace, Order Automator has Amazon sync / fulfillment connection automated + some other automation features.
Check em both out and see what works best for you. Also, I recommend setting your Amazon shipments to send in blank boxes, so your Shopify customers don’t receive your product with Amazon branding.
In order to move inventory from Shopify to Amazon and maintain proper inventory management in Shopify, the most efficient method is to utilize Amazon MCF by WebBee. The app seamlessly integrate Shopify store with Amazon fulfillment network, enabling you to send inventory to Amazon warehouses and manage it directly from your Shopify dashboard. MCF automatically syncs inventory levels between Shopify and Amazon, ensuring accurate stock tracking across both channels.
Additionally, Amazon MCF by WebBee handles order fulfillment, shipping, and customer service, streamlining your operations and reducing the burden on your team. In case you need any help with integration you can reach out to us at info@webbeeglobal.com.
