Removing rainbow text shadow on multiple pages

I am going INSANE! This pesky rainbow text shadow will not go away. I have removed the code in multiple different places, yet it is still showing up on other pages of our site. How can I remove this from all headings on all the remaining pages it is showing up on? The Store url is https://bodyzoneapparelretail.com/

Attached are screenshots of the text showing up on different pages of our site. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration!

Hi @BodyZoneApparel ,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing screenshots for better visibility! I understand how important this is to ensure the text is fixed to allow for a smoother customer experience.

I had a chance to browse your storefront and click through your links placed within the announcement bar and can see where the text issue persists on each page. How did you implement the rainbow text on these specific pages?

To gather a bit more context, are you using a third-party theme or a Shopify powered theme from the Theme Store. You mentioned that there was code removed from your store’s pages, was this coding applied by a developer?

I’d like to share a few methods to help rule out if this code is affecting the text within your announcement bar once it’s selected:

  • Rolling back your theme code. This step can help roll back your theme code to an older version of your theme or a time where there was less or no code applied to your theme.
  • You can also view within your Shopify admin, Online Store > Themes > Actions > Edit Code section to view and keep track of where you’ve made code edits. Next to a layout, a purple dot will appear beside an area that has been edited. I’ll share a screenshot below for better visibility.

  • A second option is previewing your store in a fresh Shopify theme. Previewing your store in a fresh theme will help rule out if the code is affecting your previous theme and if the issue persists on the fresh theme. You can navigate to the Shopify Theme Store to download a free theme and preview it within your Theme Library.

  • A third option is to look into hiring a Shopify Expert. Our Experts are a team of trained developers, designers, marketers and experts that can help customize your storefront, build your business and market your store.

@Victoria_13 Hi There! I believe we are using a shopify theme. They rainbow text was added in June, I had made a post a while back with the question of how to remove the rainbow text from the product title and followed the code given by the shopify partner. However, the shadow does still persist on the other pages. I am not sure how the rainbow text was implemented, an old employee added the code.

I did view the store in another theme and the rainbow text does not appear. Unfortunately because the code was added months ago, I’m not able to try the first option with the purple dot indicator. Please let me know if you need anymore information

Thank you for advising and sharing context on how the text and code has been input. I understand that a former employee may have added this code to your theme.

If you’re not sure if the theme you’re currently using is a third-party or Shopify powered theme, I’ll share a few steps to be able to identify the theme.

  • Navigate to your Shopify admin, Online Store > Themes > Customize section.
  • Within the Theme editor next to your theme name, click the 3 dots and a drop-down menu will display. I’ll share a screenshot below of an example from my test store.

Since you were able to preview your store in a fresh Shopify theme it looks as though the issue persists on the current theme where the code is embedded. The reason I ask what theme you’re using is that if it is a Shopify powered theme with third-party code our Themes Team does not support added code. I’d like to share our help center resource on Theme Support that outlines supported themes, supported customizations and limitations. In this help resource it shares what themes are supported for customizations, what our Themes team can support and the limitations for customizing your theme.

I would recommend looking into hiring a Shopify Expert to assist with removing this third-party code. Our Shopify Experts have extensive knowledge with removing code, customizing themes, building your store and updating themes. They will be able to identify what code is affecting the duplicate text within your storefront and several other pages.
