Removing side and center margins on sections

When working with the Pipeline Theme I would like to add: left, right and center modification options to the section spacing of a few sections.

On the “collections list” section it has the option for “full width padded” and “page width” but the page visually stays the same with both options. I would like to eliminate the static background areas.
