Removing the local pickup address from checkout page

Hi, this has been asked before but the last time I can find it was in 2022, hoping there may be some new solution!

My store’s local pickup is a home studio (a home address) and I don’t want the full home address to show up until the customer has completed the checkout process. The title and availability, distance, etc. is all okay, just not the full address (for security reasons).

I have tried using a flat rate shipping option instead, but ran into problems: Apple Pay defaults to the cheapest shipping option and I had people from halfway across the country selecting “local pickup”, which cost a lot of time and confusion in fulfillment.

I’ve successfully removed the full address for local pickup from the “More information” drawer elsewhere on the site using CSS. However, I can’t seem to remove the address from the first step of the checkout process. Has anyone found a solution for this? Or, even an app that solves it?

Hi Amanda, thank you for your help! I was planning to add a different address to the local pickup settings. However, I also ship from that address so I don’t want to put the incorrect address to mess up my mailed order fulfillment. When I set up a “new location” for local pickup, the inventory shows as 0 for that location and so nothing is able to be picked up. Any advice on this?
