Hi all,
I’ve been struggling for a while to get my products approved in Google Merchant Center due to a “Misrepresentation” account-level issue. https://oddlyepic.com/
I’ve requested a review 3–4 times now and clicked “Disagree with the issue” each time. Google says the review is handled by a human, but the rejection happens very quickly, which makes me think it’s still being triggered by automated checks.
I’ve gone through the policy multiple times and updated both my Merchant Center and website to meet all requirements that I know of, but I’m still being refused and I’m not sure what else I can realistically change.
Could someone sanity-check the steps below and let me know if I’m missing anything obvious that commonly triggers misrepresentation, please?
What I’ve already done:
-
Full business details clearly shown on the site (business name, contact email, telephone number, contact form)
-
Clear Returns & Refunds policy, Shipping policy, Privacy policy and Terms & Conditions all accessible from the footer (I did add in the header previously as an extra measure but didn’t make a difference)
-
Shipping times and processing times clearly stated and consistent with Merchant Center settings
-
Prices, and product details match between Shopify and Merchant Center (due to products being pulled through automatically through integration)
-
HTTPS / SSL enabled site-wide
-
Removed anything misleading that I could think of
-
Professional storefront design (no placeholder content)
-
Merchant Center business information fully completed
-
Domain verified and claimed (was unable to have google profile due to being an online store - Google removed the profile I did have set up)
-
Trust signals added where possible (review widget, TrustedSite badge, DMCA Protected badge, payment options visible)
-
All product pages and web pages have been optimised for SEO (image alts, image titles, page titles, meta descriptions etc.)
Despite all this, the account is still blocked at an account level and no products can show.
Has anyone successfully resolved a persistent Misrepresentation suspension recently, and if so:
-
What specifically fixed it?
-
Are there any less obvious triggers Google checks for?
-
Is there a reliable way to escalate beyond automated reviews?
-
If I run out of attempts, is there a person from Google I can speak with, do you know?
I only have 1 more attempt at requesting a review, and if unsuccessful my account will be suspended, so I’m terrified to try again!
Any insight would be massively appreciated - I’m genuinely stuck at this point.
