Replacing the Subscription Notification text in the Checkout flow due to legal concerns

I’m currently working on building a custom application for one of our clients. We’re basically building a loyalty platform in which a user will sign up for a recurring 30 day program leveraging the SubscriptionContract flow within Shopify. The user will be brought into the flow from the Thank You page and they will be in a brand new Checkout containing an Order with a single line item being our Loyalty Product on the relevant Subscription. A sample checkout looks like the following:

Our legal team has expressly requested that we replace the text in red below the button with their preferred and more enriched text above the button in green. Our clients are on Shopify Plus, so the upper placement is possible leveraging Checkout Extensibility components; however, I’ve yet to find a way to remove the lower text.

I’ve seen some references to the “Theme Texts” section; however, I’ve noticed a difference in the texts that appear in this location between Standard & Shop Pay are somewhat different. The standard checkout text that refers to a “deferred or recurring purchase” can be found in the Theme Texts; however, the Shop Pay version that simply refers to a “subscription” does not seem to be available.

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

How have you been able to supply custom CSS to Shop Plus Checkout flows with the ability to use selectors? I am aware of and have experimented with the Branding API for Shop Plus Checkout; however, its options are very limited in what I’m able to do as I can’t supply raw CSS. The specific selectors I require for the display none flow aren’t available through the Branding API. The styles that API supplies are very global to the Checkout page and can’t really be isolated easily with selectors from what I can see.
