Hello!
I receive quite a lot of abandoned carts and it takes quite a lot of time to turn them into orders manually. Can you make a button to automatically make it an order?
Thanks!

Shopify does not have a built-in feature to automatically convert abandoned carts into orders with a single button. However, you can use apps like Kit Karts or Abandoned Cart Recovery from the Shopify App Store to automate follow-ups and encourage customers to complete their purchases. These apps can help streamline the process and save you time.
Hello @doctorswitz ,
The “iCart Cart Drawer Cart Upsell” app offers robust features for streamlining the recovery of abandoned carts and increasing conversion rates. Within the app settings, merchants can enable the abandoned cart recovery feature, which triggers automated email campaigns to remind customers of their unfinished purchases. These campaigns can be customized with compelling email content and include prominent call-to-action buttons that direct customers back to their abandoned carts. The app’s analytics dashboard provides valuable insights into the performance of these campaigns, allowing merchants to track metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates. With the ability to monitor performance and adjust campaign strategies accordingly, merchants can effectively recover abandoned carts and boost sales with minimal manual effort.
This is a very real pain point and you’re definitely not alone. Not being able to convert abandoned checkouts into draft orders creates a lot of unnecessary manual work, especially when carts contain dozens of products.
Until Shopify adds native support for this, there is a workaround that solves the problem completely. The Abandoned checkouts to draft app allows admins to convert abandoned checkouts directly into draft orders in just a few clicks. That means no re-entering 30–100 products, no copying customer details manually.
It’s particularly useful for cases where customers can’t complete card payments but still want to proceed with the order. You can instantly recover the cart, generate a draft order, and send an invoice or take payment offline.
Best part is the app is free now, so there’s no downside to trying it.
Hopefully this helps others who are running into the same issue and saves a ton of admin time.
You usually can’t safely auto-convert abandoned carts into orders unless payment is completed. And Shopify requires the customer to finish checkout.
What most stores do instead is automate the recovery process so you’re not chasing carts manually. I’ve seen good results with Cartly Abandoned Cart Recovery as it automatically sends reminder emails and push notifications to bring shoppers back and complete their order.
Setup is pretty quick, and once it’s running, it saves a lot of manual work while recovering otherwise lost sales.
