Requesting for Feature Suggestion

Hi,

I am looking for a feature which is soo long required, as it will be beneficial for Shopify from server/cloud space saving point of view as well as it will be beneficial for Shopify users.

I am looking for following feature:

So when we customize a theme where for example we need to change a banner or any image to some other image, then it will only show the latest uploaded image files in files section and not the old ones, there should be a option while changing banners to search for file names so we can change the banner to already uploaded banner image for example

In below image when you select image to update a banner to old banner from files section, it shows only latest images uploaded in files section, there should be an option to search in files section from here itself, so we can search image name and select the same, instead of every time uploading image and updating as it will consume additional unnecessary space.

Hello, @Omkarmore !

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this feature request along with the screenshots.

Currently, you are able to scroll down and select the Load more button to see other images you’ve uploaded, but I understand that this may be time consuming if you’ve uploaded many images. I can absolutely see the benefit in there being a search bar in this case. I have submitted this feature request to our developers for consideration in future updates.

While I can’t guarantee when and if a change will be implemented, I’ll definitely keep an eye on this feature request and let you know if I have any updates. I recommend watching the Shopify Changelog too, in case you see an update there before I’m able to follow up with you.
