Responsiveness issue on forum (mobile + desktop breadcrumb)

Hi,

I noticed a responsiveness problem on the Shopify Community forum and wanted to flag it here.

  • On mobile view:
    When browsing topics, if a title is very long it isn’t truncated correctly. This creates unwanted blank space on the right, and you can scroll horizontally even though the page should be locked.

  • On laptop/desktop:
    I’ve also observed the same issue with the breadcrumb navigation bar, which causes the same horizontal scrolling problem.

To help illustrate this, I’ve attached a screenshot and a short video showing the behavior.

It would be great if this could be fixed so the forum is fully responsive on both mobile and desktop.

I can let you know once it has been resolved. I currently don’t have a timeframe to give you, but I will reply here when a fix is implemented.

Our team was able to fix the issue on mobile. They will be applying a fix to desktop when the screen is reduced to a certain size which should resolve the issues you were seeing.

Thanks it’s better now.

However on mobile I noticed that you can always pull some white space of you swipe left or right, I don’t know if it’s by design or it’s a bug.
