We currently use Retail Express as our POS and Inventory system which is integrated with Shopify - our store is http://www.feathers.com.au. Currently we use the app Store Pickup + Delivery (CR) for Click and Collect orders however these have to be manually entered into Retail Express as it is not integrated.
Retail Express have a Click and Collect add-on which requires you to add 2 Assets and 1 snippet of code as well as add a few lines of code to theme.liquid, buy-buttons.liquid and main-cart.liquid. I have attempted to install the code provided by Retail Express myself. Testing it on a copy of the theme, it displays and functions properly on the product page and cart page however when I click checkout after selecting a store, nothing flows through into the checkout.
I believe the code was built for Dawn theme and we are using Prestige so I thought there might be a compatibility issue however I tested it on Dawn theme and had the same issue. Can someone assist with looking at the javascript file and other assets to see whether it’s coded correctly?

shopify not allow to customise any thing on the checkout page if you are on a simple plan.

I am aware that we cannot customise the checkout page but was told that the code would allow for information to pre-fill into the checkout page from the cart based on the store they selected. Would you be willing to look at the code supplied by Retail Express as they assure me that it works for their basic Shopify customers.
@feathersbtq can you please explain more, which codes are you talking?
shopify does not allow checkout files or customization for normal stores but there script area to add pixel codes.
The company gave us some base code
- .js asset
- .css asset
- .liquid snippet
- small section of code to add to theme.liquid
- small section of code to add to
- main-cart.liquid
- buy-buttons.liquid

There has been a new release of the Click and Collect functionality by Retail Express as an app. It appears you still do not have this option on your website so this may be something worth further investigation.
The Shopify Partner is correct that you can not modify the checkout without plus heavily only branding. The app now works by adding a new delivery method called click and collect and passing this through to the cart and hence checkout experience.
You may be stuck if you have a drawer cart but you do not.
