Review my store please!

I would really appreciate some feedback on my store, specialising in mma clothing! Conversion rate has decreased and I can’t see any clear reason as to why! Thanks!

Hello @adker1 Had a quick look. A few things that might affect conversion: the product page could use stronger trust signals (reviews, shipping/returns info), and the Add to Cart section could be more prominent, especially on mobile. Also double-check if any apps or scripts were added recently that might be slowing things down. Sometimes a small UX or speed issue is enough to drop conversions.

hey @adker1 you did a great job but you can do make more attractive store
i think it is your first time to design or develop a store so feel free if you have any question about it

Hi,

I hope you are well.

This is Anne from Shopplaza I’m happy to share some initial comments and suggestions after reviewing your store.

Overall, the main sections are set up quite well , and the site already has a solid foundation. From a first-time visitor’s point of view, however, there are a few areas that could be improved to strengthen trust and engagement :

1. “About Us” section accessibility
The About Us page should ideally be placed in the header or another highly visible area , making it easy for visitors to understand who is behind the store.
For new customers, being able to quickly see that this is a real, legitimate business plays an important role in building trust.

for example:

2. Reviews with real customer feedback

If possible, consider showing real customer reviews with actual photos from people who have purchased your products.

Visual feedback provides stronger social proof and gives new visitors more confidence when deciding whether to buy.

3. Add to Cart buttons on the homepage
Displaying Add to Cart buttons directly on the homepage or product sections can encourage quicker purchasing decisions and reduce the number of steps needed to place an order.

4. Promotional banners instead of a single homepage video
Rather than showing only one video on the homepage, you might consider adding promotional banners that highlight current campaigns, discounts, or key offers.
Banners are often more effective at immediately capturing attention and clearly communicating value to visitors.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to let us know if you have any question.

Best regards,
Anne

Hello

I had a quick look. The brand and niche are clear, but when conversion drops, it’s often small things that visitors feel, but we don’t notice anymore.

Sometimes these are reviews, shipping clarity, and sometimes product page details, or even mobile experience. A lot of traffic for clothing stores is mobile, so it’s worth checking how the product page feels there.

Agree with this post!

I’d say try one thing at a time. I might consider creating a video on some of the product listings to show off the fit or quality of the material in motion.

Good luck and keep at it :oncoming_fist:

Hi @adker1

It’s showing me this

Could you please check again?

Hi, @adker1

I took a look at your site - a genuinely solid store. Real reviews, strong Irish identity, clear niche. The conversion drop isn’t a branding problem - it’s more about the friction and performance issues.

Here’s how to improve these:

  1. Hero image hurting mobile speed
Your PageSpeed Report shows LCP (5.7s) is mainly from a large hero PNG.This delay directly increases bounce rate on mobile.
Convert it to WebP + reduce size + prioritize loading
This alone can significantly improve load time.

  2. Featured product is sold out
    You’re highlighting a product that’s out of stock - that’s a quick bounce trigger.
Replace it with an in-stock best seller + hide sold-out variants

  3. Product pages lack buying detail
    MMA buyers care about specifics.
    Add:

  • Fit / sizing clarity
  • Fabric details
  • Durability (print vs sublimation)
Also add a size guide - reduces hesitation a lot.
  1. UGC is underused
Your real fighter photos are strong but buried.
Move 2-3 onto product pages (these convert much better than studio shots)

  2. Klarna visibility
    It’s hidden in the footer.
Add “Pay in 3 with Klarna” near price / Add to Cart

  3. Abandoned cart recovery
Make sure Shopify abandoned checkout emails are active - easy revenue win

Your drop is likely coming from slow mobile load + trust/friction points (sold-out product, missing info). Fixing these should improve conversions without needing more traffic.

If you don’t want to handle this manually, tools like Website Speedy can help with image optimization and script prioritization - it’s completely optional to use.

Hope this helps!

for fight wear specifically, if your product shots are mostly flat lays or mannequin photos, that’s probably hurting more than you think. mma gear needs to look like it belongs in a gym, not a catalog. even a few shots of someone actually wearing the gear while training would help a ton, people buying fight wear want to picture themselves in it. we built a tool called prodofoto for exactly this, it generates on-model shots from a basic product photo so you don’t need to book an actual shoot.

also before you start changing stuff, check if the conversion drop lines up with a traffic source change. sometimes it’s not the store, it’s that your audience shifted. compare bounce rate and time on page between the good period and now in analytics, that’ll tell you if it’s a page problem or a traffic quality problem.
