robots text not being saved correctly?

Topic summary

A user is experiencing issues with their robots.txt file not saving correctly after making changes recommended by SEMrush to fix errors.

When accessing the robots.txt file via URL, they’re seeing reversed/garbled text instead of the intended content. The error message mentions “87 warnings” and “Blocked internal resources in robots.txt” (text appears backwards).

The user has a default robots.txt file created under a template but is unsure how to properly replace it or resolve these warnings.

Another participant asked if they ever received a response from Shopify, suggesting this may be platform-specific and potentially requiring vendor support.

The issue remains unresolved with no clear solution provided yet.

Hello!

So I was told from SEMrush that I was getting errors so when I made changes to the robots.txt it’s not being saved when I go to my web page and look at the .txt file. What i’m being shown when I enter my URL with /robots.txt is the older version. I have the default .txt file that is made when creating under template to replace it. Ideas? I’m not really sure what’s needed to help resolve these warnings,

Blocked internal resources in robots.txt warnings 78

Thank you all!
