I’m running a test sale and Ive filled out my name, address and phone on the info page.
When I click to shipping, I’m taken back to the info page to fill in Apt or Suite # box, now highlighted in red. I don’t have one and neither may a customer.
I definitely understand not wanting this to be a required field at checkout, as potential customers might leave your site if they cannot get through checkout. What you’ll first need to do is ensure your Checkout settings are correct. You can do this in your Shopify admin by navigating to Settings > Checkout and scrolling down to the Customer information section. Under Address line 2 (apartment, unit, etc.) you will want to make sure either Optional or Don’t include is selected (Optional is recommended), rather than Required. Here’s an example from my test store:
If you’ve already ensured the Address Line 2 is not required, but you are still having an issue checking out, could you share your URL with me? I will try to go through the checkout myself and see if I run into the same issue.
