Hi, we bought a Shopify store and we recently changed the domain ownership over to us. Our sales have been down since the propagation. We see that everything has a green check in our site is live everywhere, but there’s no explanation as to why the sales are slower. Can anyone help?
Topic summary
Main issue: After transferring domain ownership and completing DNS propagation for a Shopify store, sales decreased.
Status: The store shows “green checks” and is live everywhere, but performance has slowed.
Impact: Orders dropped from about 4–9 per day to 1–2 per day since the switch over.
Clarifying question: Whether the domain name and all URLs remained the same after the change.
Technical context: DNS propagation is the period when domain DNS changes update across the internet; changes to the domain or URLs can influence how visitors reach existing pages.
Actions/next steps: No actions yet; first confirm if any URLs changed to guide troubleshooting.
Resolution: Unresolved and ongoing; cause of the sales decline remains unclear pending details on URL consistency.
Hey there,
Did the domain name all of the URLs stay the same?
We have about one to two sales coming in a day since the switchover, but we
were averaging 4 to 9 before. Why would that be?
