Store located in Florida. Coffee is exempt from sales tax. Shopify’s own tax schedules show that Florida is tax exempt for coffee. When you place an item in the cart and proceed to checkout, with a valid shipping address in Florida provided, the numbers show sales tax. After you actually complete the sale, there is no sales tax. Shopify is telling me that that is the only way they can do it. I have never seen sales tax shown at checkout when it shouldn’t be on any other website. I need help. Customers, if they are aware that sales tax on coffee is exempt in their juridiction, WILL NOT proceed wqith the purchase.
