How can I disable the sales tax from showing up as 'included at checkout’ when I have the ‘include tax in price’ setting turned off? My products are set to charge tax and I want a separate line to charge taxes on top of the product price.

If you have the “Include sales tax in product price and shipping rate” setting turned off, taxes should automatically display as a separate line item at checkout, not as “included.” This is the default behavior in most regions like the US.
If you’re seeing “included at checkout” messaging when the setting is off, here are a few things to check:
Verify your tax settings
Go to Settings > Taxes and duties and confirm that “Include sales tax in product price and shipping rate” is not selected. When this is off, tax should be added on top of your product prices as a separate line.
Check your Markets settings
If you’re selling internationally, go to Settings > Markets > Other markets > Preferences and make sure you haven’t selected “Include or exclude tax based on your customer’s country,” as this could override your global setting for certain regions.
Confirm products are taxable
Make sure “Charge tax on this product” is selected on your product pages so taxes are actually being calculated and displayed.
When the “include tax” setting is off (which is standard for US-based stores), your checkout should show the product price, then a separate tax line item below it that adds to the total.
