Same product, different URLs, shared inventory – looking for app

Hi everyone,

I need some advice or a recommendation for a Shopify app that can handle the following:

We have a unisex product (e.g. shoes) that we want to display separately in both the men’s and women’s categories – each with its own unique URL and different photos. However, both versions should share the same inventory.

For example, if we have 5 items in stock, that quantity should apply to both product versions. And if one is sold, the stock should automatically decrease for the other as well.

Does anyone know how to solve this? I’m open to paid apps – I just haven’t found one that supports this specific use case.

What you’re describing is a shared inventory setup where the same physical product is listed under two separate product pages, each with its own URL and images, but stock is linked between them.

Since Shopify doesn’t support this out of the box, you’ll need an app or a workaround to sync the inventory between the two listings.

Recommended Apps:

Use variants within a single product.

Each variant can have its own images (e.g., “Men” and “Women”).

Create custom collection filters or smart navigation to show the product differently in Men’s and Women’s collections.

But: URLs won’t be fully separate this way.

You can achieve this setup using Easify Inventory Sync.

It lets you connect multiple Shopify products to share the same inventory. So you can create two separate product pages (e.g. one for men, one for women), each with unique URLs, titles, and images — but both will pull from the same inventory source. When one sells, the stock count updates on both automatically. Here’s how it works:

  1. Set up an Inventory Group: Use the app to create Inventory Groups that group your 2 products in 2 collections, and set mutual inventory
  2. How does it work? When 1 shoes product in women’s category is purchased, both shoes in men’s and women’s category will be reduced by 1 (or you can say the shared inventory will automatically be reduced by 1) ensuring that the inventory of your products is tracked.
