This seems like a straightforward requirement but I’m struggling with the configuration.
Current Setup:
I have an online store only. It was set up a few months ago. I have 2 markets within Shopify and use locale specific domain names, local currencies, etc.
I have 2 warehouses that have been set up as Locations in Shopify:

In Australia - containing all products

In New Zealand - containing all products (i.e. the same products as in warehouse 1)
I have 2 shipping zones (one for Australia and the other for New Zealand) and I have each zone shipping from the relevant warehouse. So the Australian Zone only supports the Australian location and the New Zealand Zone only supports the New Zealand location.
Requirement:
If an Australian customer places an order, I want it to be fulfilled automatically from the Australian warehouse; and similarly, when a New Zealand customer places an order, I want it to be fulfilled automatically from the New Zealand warehouse.
Problem:
Where I run into an issue is that it seems that products need to be within a specific location (referring to the shipping profile set up) - and this appears to be mutually exclusive. So if I have Product A in the shipping profile that has shipping rates for Australia, it cannot be in the shipping profile that has shipping rates for New Zealand.
This creates an issue when a New Zealand customer orders they get the error “Shipping not available for the selected address” - even though there are shipping rates set up and inventory in the New Zealand warehouse.
Any insight into how I resolve this would be appreciated.
