Search and Discovery filters for blogs?

I’m using “Search & Discovery” for my products, and it works great. I would like to create a similar system for my blog posts, but the only metafields available on the “Source” in Search and Discovery are related to products.

Is Search & Discovery limited to product metafields, or am I doing something wrong? Is there another solution?

Thank you. I had a feeling this was the case. Hoping for stronger / broader filters in the future.
