Search Box disappears after no results serach

Hi everyone,

Unless it’s a design thing that was supposed to act like it does now, I think I have a bug on my Search page.

When a customer searches for something and there aren’t search results for the specific search, the search box disappears. It means the customer either has to refresh the page or use the upper left search field.
Is it normal? I think it’s really annoying and that the search box should not disappear after a null search.
I attached two pictures. One is for before executing the search and the other is after, when the search box disappears.

If needed, I can send the password for my shop in a PM.

Hey there,

Yes it seems its build that way to hide the search box while there is no search result. If you don’t like it than you can customise it. You need to modify a bit of code in you theme to allow the search box to be visible while there is no result. If you are not familiar with coding you can take help from a Shopify expert.
