Search & Discovery App : display price of the selected variant

Hi,

On my microbrewery online store, I’d like my clients to see the price of the specific variants they select through “Search & Discovery” app.

Here’s a picture of what they see after selection of 30L format. The price displayed is still the can price. It should be the 30L keg price.

I haven’t found a solution yet by adding code to the theme or by an App to install. Does anyone has solution to this kind of problem ?

Many thanks for the help ! Cheers !

Hi @Ludovic3 ,

Thank you for reaching out. Have you contacted Shopify support about this yet? As this is a Shopify-made theme that you’re using, this may be something our themes team can help with if code changes are required. You can contact us via the Help Center.

Hi Victor,

Many thanks for your reply :slightly_smiling_face:
Yes I contacted Shopify Support and I still do not have a reply from them.

Hi @Victor_5 ,

Here’s the answer from the Help Center :

Hi there,

Nicole here from Shopify Support - thanks for reaching out!

I understand you’re looking for a way to have the prices on collections display as the price for the variant chosen through the Search & Discovery filters. I’ve had a look into this for you and this would be a current limitation of the Search & Discovery app in that the price shown would default to the lowest priced variant for the product, no matter which filter is chosen.

While this is expected behaviour, our developers continually work to improve the platform and meet our merchants’ business needs and we can help them by tracking these issues. I would be more than happy to bring your feedback on this to our developers in the hopes that being able to have the price updated based on filter chosen will be implemented in the future. It would be such a good feature to have. I can’t give you a time frame if/when this may be implemented but your feedback is very much appreciated.

In the meantime, there are third-party filtering apps that can provide the functionality to update the price based on the filter. I’ve a few suggestions for apps that could do this to share with you here:

As these are third-party apps, I must advise that they are fully supportable by the individual app developers. Should you need more information, you can contact the app developers directly via the app’s page in the Support tab.

Let us know if there’s anything further we can assist with!

All the best,
Nicole | Shopify

Thanks for following up, @Ludovic3 !

Thanks for sharing that reply from our Team. It looks like they’ve passed feedback along regarding this (as it appears to be a limitation of the Search and Discovery app) and has recommended some app options to help you achieve your desired functionality! I recommend following along with our Teams advice and checking out those apps to see if they help!
