Search & Discovery app's tag filtering in multiple languages is not possible?

According to the documentation of Shopify, users that aren’t on the site’s default language aren’t able to use tag filtering or product type? Why is that?

I wanted to implement this feature for all languages (we use Translate & Adapt) but it seems this isn’t possible?

Is there another app or way we could use to filter by tags in different languages?

Note that we develop with Hydrogen and the Storefront API

Hello. Have you managed to solve this?

I want to get my tags to appear in 2nd language too. I don’t even need them to be actually translated.
Metafields isn’t a solution for me since I do have more than 128 tags (it’s a big store)

Why is this even a thing. Our tags don’t need translations, they are the same over the different languages!
