Search & Discovery products as a Section and not a Product block

Is it possible to use the complementary products defined by the Search & Discovery as a section rather than a product block in Dawn?
I find the code for the complementary products inside the main-product loop but it’s obvious it’s just placeholders for something happening from the (I guess storefront api call and javascript injection, but not sure).
Tried just to move the divs for complementary outside the product block loop, but then it just renders blank.

Reason for this is design, I want to make a “shop the look” section that is full width and that would make a section much more logical than a product block, but still want to use the app and it’s logic as I use it for search and other stuff.

Yes, it is possible to achieve this, but it requires some custom coding and adjustments to the theme. You would need to extract the logic for complementary products and implement it as a standalone section rather than being tied to the product block.
