I am trying to have the emailsignup and the footer sections together at the bottom of the pages. However I have a larger gap between the two pages. How can I remove the gap?
Topic summary
A user is experiencing an unwanted gap between the email signup section and footer on their Shopify store pages, particularly noticeable on pages with minimal body content that don’t stretch to fill the viewport.
Issue Details:
- The gap appears on multiple pages, especially the “media inquiries” page (currently in draft)
- Store URL: waistlite.com
- The problem occurs when page content is insufficient to push the footer to the bottom naturally
Attempted Solutions:
- Initial suggestion was that the space might be reserved for a menu footer that could be removed if unused
- Screenshots were shared showing the gap, though there was some confusion about whether the issue was already resolved
Resolution:
PageFly support (Richard) provided a technical solution:
- Navigate to Online Stores > Themes > More Actions > Edit code
- Open theme.liquid file
- Add specific CSS/markup code above the
</head>tag
The discussion appears resolved with a concrete code-based fix provided, though implementation confirmation is pending.
Hi @nmn22601
I think that is the space for the menu footer. If you dont like to used it, we can remove it. Would you mind to share your store URL? Thanks!
The page that I am working on is in draft and not published.

Please, check what name of this template.s In your templates file can you see if you have media-queries.json or near to that name? Thanks!
This happens on all pages that do not have enough for the body to strecth so the area will be to the bottom.
