While building my store i found out that this section when applied to a collection page for example also applies to the home page, is there a css I can put so that it only stays on the targeted collection page/page im editing?
Hello, you see french because my store is for france, but i dont speak french, what is happening is when i add this section on my collection page it also shows on the homepage for some reason
On which template exactly are you applying that section? Is the template name called “Default Collection”? If yes, then it will be applied to all collections, not homepage.
Can you show me a screenshot of theme editor to see where you have applied this section?
Okay.
Which theme are you using?
And where are you adding the section from? From the theme editor?
And can you see the section in the list of sections on your homepage (left panel)?
Have you tried deleting it from your homepage? If so, does that delete it from your collection page as well?
The problem is that without access to your theme’s code, it’s hard to answer you, since I’ve never personally encountered a problem like this. That’s why I’m asking all these questions.
No because I make a new collection page, and then i add that section, i just want this collection page to be like a place where im gonna add that section and show all collections on the store do you understand?
That’s a pretty weird problem, never really heard before something like this happening. Anyways, without having a look on the backend, I cant really debug the exact problem so if you’re comfortable then feel free to share your store URL and collaborator request code in my private messages and I’ll get this sorted out.
Without specifics like website url, what the section code is, or where exactly it’s placed, it’s hard to pinpoint the issue for you or a solution. Generally, when you put a section in a template, it is only in that template, so something somewhere is screwed up. Maybe it’s in the code if it’s a custom section. Are you sure you’re putting it in the correct place?
There is no need to upload your section code. Especially since it’s not yours, but belongs to Section Store, who may not like it.
If you’re unable to share a link to your store and preview password, then can you make a screenshot of your Theme Editor screen like Maximus did above so we can see where this section is positioned?
This is the reason – you’re adding this section into Header area.
This area is the same for all pages on your site.
So all settings you put in any section there would be the same for every page.
To have a different settings for your section, you need to add section into Template area – inside the green border on the Maximus screenshot.
Then these settings will apply only to page(s) which uses this template, so homepage sections will have one set of settings, and section on Collection List template may have different settings.
oh ■■■■ur right lol, i was just right clicking a section i had and “add section after” and it was adding it to the header, i didnt even notice that, thank you so much
